Warup is a traditional drum that is made in the Torres Straight Islands, played during ceremonial dances and celebrations.
I have chosen this to represent me, as it embodies movement and rhythm which are the foundations of my sessions

The sea turtle symbolizes my Torres Strait Islander heritage, while the vibrant mango color reflects my hometown of Bowen, North Queensland. Together, they embody the journey of individuals seeking support through Warup Wellness.
Hi, my name is Brandon. I grew up in Bowen and graduated from James Cook University in Townsville in 2020 with a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology.
While at university, I worked as a Disability Support Worker—a role I found incredibly rewarding. I loved helping people with disabilities get out into the community and teaching everyday skills whenever I could.
Since graduating, I’ve had the opportunity to work with individuals whose conditions impact their daily lives, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), stroke, chronic pain, cardiovascular disease, and muscular injuries. Many of them faced challenges like low muscle tone, poor balance, reduced cardiovascular fitness, hypermobility, coordination difficulties, and limited participation in daily activities.
Over time, I found myself working more with children and adolescents. I really enjoyed the playful, creative side of therapy—coming up with fun, engaging ways to get kids moving. During this period, I was mentored in emotional regulation strategies, learning how to support children in staying calm and focused during sessions. These strategies have since become a key part of how I work.
As of 2025, I’ve decided to start my own business, focusing on what I’m most passionate about: helping young people develop their potential and independence through movement and exercise.
I believe that exercise for children and teens should be fun, engaging, and constantly evolving. It should include challenges like cognitive tasks to keep them thinking and moving at the same time. I also strongly value collaboration with other healthcare and education professionals. A team-based approach—including occupational therapists, speech pathologists, teachers, and other specialists—ensures every child gets the well-rounded support they deserve to grow and thrive.
Outside of work, I enjoy gaming on my PC, going camping, and watching anime.
To empower individuals with challenges by enhancing their physical independence through tailored exercise physiology programs. I aim to provide unique, engaging, evidence-based interventions that foster growth, confidence, and overall well-being, ensuring those that seek my help have the support they need to thrive.
To build a connected community where individuals with disabilities, families, and educators can effectively come together to support children, adolescents and young adult's physical independence and emotional resilience. Through collaboration and innovative exercise physiology programs, I envision a future where every child feels confident, capable, and empowered to reach their full potential.
